I bought my Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter in Sin($26) directly from Urban Decay in March.
My freebies came with this purchase are:
- Eyeshadow single in Mushroom(BD gift with any purchase)
- Rapture Revolution Lipstick deluxe sample
- Free shipping with UD Junkies membership
My total cost is $26 + tax + free shipping.
The Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter was released in February and I was eager to try it.
This highlighter:
- Good quality
- Very fine powder, goes on smooth and easy to blend
- Long lasting
- Very pigmented
- Shimmers a bit
My tip of using: It’s so pigmented, just a gentle sweep is all I need, a little goes a long way. It does shimmer a bit so that it might emphasize your fine line and pores if you put on too much. It will make you glow!
My Free Gift – Eyeshadow Single in Mushroom
I love it! You can use it alone or pair with others. It’s like metallic grey with silver sheen. It’s nice to have if you want some smokey eyes!
Here is a swatch from dear reader Jackie, also a beauty blogger at cosmetichaulic.com!

Do you see the white coating on the lipstick?!
Here is the explanation from Urban Decay:
this white coating is ‘wax bloom’. This is harmless and occurs when lipids or oils within the formula evaporate if this lipstick is stored for long periods of time.
the lipstick sample is safe for you to use once the wax bloom has been removed with a tissue.
I had a similar issue with an Estee Lauder lipstick sample and I posted about it awhile back. Urban Decay sent me another lipstick sample but with the same problem. That’s a bad batch!
To make me a happy customer, Urban Decay sent me the third free sample – an eyeshadow sample in Fireball!
